Brewery
The brewery in Gyumri, founded by the Tsaghikyans in 1898, has a rich history. Unfortunately, following the extensive damage caused by the 1988 earthquake, the factory was left partially destroyed and inoperable. However, in 1970, the Gyumri-Garejur company emerged, establishing itself as a unique entity in the region. For the past five decades, the company has been a major beer producer in Armenia.
At the Gyumri-Garejur brewery, beer is crafted from natural and high-quality raw materials, employing traditional recipes. The process involves skilled specialists who bring their passion and a touch of Gyumri humor to the art of brewing. The key components for production are simple: malt, hops, yeast, and the exceptional local water. The taste and chemical composition of Gyumri’s water contribute significantly to the distinctive flavor of the beer, making it a crucial element in the brewing process.
