Central Park “Maxim Gorky”
Gorki Park in Gyumri is situated in the central part of the city, at the beginning of Gai Street. This green and spacious area is adorned with parks and play facilities for children. As you stroll through the park, you’ll encounter various statues and monuments. One notable structure is the arched monument, designed in a beautiful Greek style, making it an ideal spot for photography and offering a view of the Mother Armenia monument. The Mother Armenia monument, crafted by sculptor Ara Sargsyan, Yerem Vardanyan, and architect Rafik Yeghoyan, was installed in the south-western part of the city in 1975. From the White Arch within Gorki Park, you can enjoy a view of the Gyumri City Stadium, the home ground of the Shirak football club where the team plays its home games.
