Museum Exhibition “Hayuhi”
Towards the end of the last century, films shot in Gyumri transformed the city into a setting that etched its mark on cinematic history. “Will there be a day when I can see from the sky what is wrong with this world?” These memorable words, now widely recognized, are from one of Armenia’s most beloved films, “The Tango of Our Childhood.” The movie delves into the poignant dynamics of a family, reflecting the struggles of post-war Gyumri during a challenging period. “Vardushents House,” a prominent location from the film, continues to draw frequent visitors and is easily located. Currently, the museum exhibition “Hayuhi” has opened its doors here, offering a glimpse into the shooting episodes of “The Tango of Our Childhood” and showcasing posters from films featuring Mher Mkrtchyan.
